Well here we are in December already and another year is almost gone so I thought I'd do a bit of a run down of the Year as it was for me in ACW, and some other stuff I've been meaning to address.

This time last year we did what I always refer to "the snake match" and it ended up being my last match with Storm as she left ACW in January 2001. I've heard LOTS of rumours about this and I suppose some of the readers have too so let me assure you all that NONE of it is true. I never called anyone in ACW names on the internet and I proved it more than adequately to the people in ACW. I also NEVER had a fan removed from the club (anywhere or anytime) and in fact the fans I was said to have removed been present at many ACW shows since this rumour started. Some people will always have something to say, and just because someone says it, doesnt mean its true. I dont hold any grudges against anyone in this industry, lifes too short for bitching about your job and your workmates, and I love my job!

February, ACW went to Bathurst and we all had a great time (thanks Bathurst Panthers). Traveling a little bit and working a crowd that wasnt familiar with us was a novelty and I'm sure we all learnt from it. I know that several people involved in ACW thought that was one of out better shows for the year.

Raya made a return in April and I got to do my best match yet in an intergender tag match featuring me and Ezy Rock against Raya and High Voltage. I must say thanks to everyone involved in that match cos I am still proud of it. I'd also like to say that I think its fitting and somehow "right" that Raya and I did what was to the best match for either of us together. It was a good one and I FINALLY got to go thru a table, which I'd been asking ACW if I could do for some time. ( I also got to hide under the ring and in a coffin which were things I'd always wanted to do)

All year we've seen improvements in ACW but some of our guys (Energy Extreme, Big T) really came into their own this year. They did nothing but good matches and the risks Energy Extreme takes often leave me at ringside internally screaming "Oh S^&T guys be careful!!!!!"

In May I was made Deputy Commissioner and I stepped into the role the same day Cobra Tai made his ACW debut (as my bodyguard). I have just LOVED working with Cobra Tai this year, he is a great performer and a good friend, always willing to help and he has been an important and positive addition to ACW. Expect big things from Cobra Tai in 2002. May also saw us return to Mt Druitt Westfields and, what a show that was! What a crowd! There had to be about 1500 people watching when the Royal Rumble came down to the last two men, High Voltage and BigT, and Big T took home the ACW championship. Wayne Pickford negotiated his ACW comeback at the same show and we warmly welcomed Wayne back to ACW. He's another guy I love working with (thanks Wayne!!) and that same month saw Frank the Tank join ACW.

Shortly after that Raya and I wrestled on what I call "the mud show" which was OUTSIDE in the RAIN at the Blacktown show, and the only good thing I had to say about that one was that it was better than last years ordeal at the Blacktown Show when black bugs rained from the sky in an apocalyptic fashion. ( truly, they were EVERYWHERE, in our hair, clothes, places you dont even want to think about , millions of bugs attracted to the lights and dying as they got too close to it and falling smack-bang into the middle of a tag match)

Wildfire began training soon after that and I continued in my role as Deputy Commissioner, which is something I've really enjoyed. I may not have done as much actual wrestling this year but I certainly did ALOT of mic work, and I finally got so comfortable with it that I dont even mind when they tell me to go 5 minutes. Making the crowd respond has let me feel that I'm still playing an important part even if I havent had an opponent for most of the year. And we moved on to Revesby Workers Club (longtime venue for Aussie Wrestling) and were more than happy with the result. We dont often charge fans for shows, preferring to offer free family entertainment and letting the venue pay all of us, but this time we charged and get more than 400 people who all had a great time.

And of course, this year has also had its sad spots. In October, Daddy Kool (Andy Harpas) suffered a stroke and I know I speak for all of ACW when I say that this was a shattering incident for all of us. This man is so beloved and has touched so many lives that for anything to happen to his health and well being is heartbreaking to those who know him. Despite our long running "feud" Andy has truly been a surrogate father to me and I am so incredibly grateful to him for everything he did for me. He believed in me right from the start and I've always tried to live up that belief, in and out of the ring. Andy Harpas is an inspiration and I dont have to tell anyone in Australian Pro Wrestling how important his contribution has been worth in wrestling in this country. Hes been my trainer, my confidante, my co worker, my surrogate father, my mentor and most importantly my friend. I'm pleased to say he's recovering well and is expected to eventually make a full recovery ( love and best wishes to Andy and Family)

I'd better mention that this year wouldnt have been any fun if it wasnt for the talented, witty and absolutely great bunch of guys I train with. They have really helped me to improve my wrestling skills over the year and they have NEVER once injured me. So thanks to Chimp and Dave for all the help and especially for being patient with me, you guys are great. Thanks to Ben for being one of the greatest guys alive ( and the technical help), and Daniel for making sure I had a spot on every show (best boss alive!) and Justin for being so damn good, and Ray for everything over the last 3 years and Michael and Michael, other Dave, Tony, Dennis, Nick, Wayne and especially Lea and Nicole ( beautiful ladies, inside and out) cos I had a great time working with them both.

And so now we head towards our last show for the year ( December 23rd Fairfield RSL 2pm ACW v XDC = Vengeance) which is promising to be a big one. Its been a big year and I hope we have an even bigger one next year. This web page did UNBELIEVABLY well for a site about an Aussie girl wrestler, sometimes we hit 5000 visitors a week, which is phenomenal (now, if only you can all come to a show!) and so of course I have to thank everyone involved in that, and especially my webdude, Rob. Its been a great year in general ( with the exception of Daddy Kools illness) and as I look back theres just to much to mention everything. Lets see, I hit the following people with belts, Daddy Kool, Blade, Ezy Rock and Wayne Pickford. I hit Mr USA with a chair (too hard I think), I got knocked off the apron about a dozen times, I went thru a table, I hid in a coffin and sprayed "poison" in people eyes, I slapped the ref, Big Al, around a bit, gained two bodyguards, took over ACW (oh yeah, the commentators said I broke up Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman too) whipped a few guys, hit a few with Cobra Tais kendo stick, kicked the crap out of anyone unlucky enough to land within reach at ringside and generally had a great time on every show. I really enjoyed this year more than last year and I think on the whole ACW improved as the year went on and we intend to continue that way next year.

I cant go without saying a thank you to the ACW fans- they made it all worthwhile, hope to see you all again next year. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas, and thats it till next time.
